Class Description

This class is designed to engage kids in fun, creative, and playful ways that will incorporate using their imagination as they learn yoga postures, breathing exercises, and relaxation. Each week will rotate through a different focus that helps to improve attention and focus, increase emotional intelligence, and build resiliency. Other benefits of this class include teaching kids healthy coping mechanisms and helping memory and motor skill development. Week 1: Super Me: This class will be focused on recognizing each child's strength and beauty in their emotions and qualities through positive self-talk and affirmations. Week 2: Playful Me: This class will include the book, ABC Yoga, by Christiane Engel, which features colorful illustrations of children and animals in yoga postures and playful rhymes to explain each movement. Week 3: Mindful Me: This class will incorporate breath practices, meditation, and movement to help kids with mindfulness. Week 4/Week 5: Creative Me: This class will engage kids in co-creating a sequence of yoga postures and breath practices. Parents are welcome to stay Your child must be potty trained Parents must be near to bring children to the restroom Parent must be present for pick up no later than 5 minutes before class ending
